ECO TOURS BRAZIL:  Here at Bass N Mexico we offer many ways to enjoy the Amazon Peacock Bass experience by adding a very special service on the Amazon Voyager.  We call it Eco Tours.  In addition to fishing (at least six+ full days), you will have the opportunity to experience the world's greatest rainforest and its wonders.  It would be a shame to travel to such a remote and exotic treasure without experiencing all that it has to offer.  Your on-board manager and the guides will help you plan and carry out wildlife viewing, visits to native villages and even Jacaré (crocodile) hunts (catch and release).  Finally, after decades of exploitation for profit, mankind has devised a way to explore the resources of the rainforest in harmony with nature, reaping the highest reward: that of a once in a lifetime experience!  It is possible, aboard the Amazon Voyager, to travel into areas and experience firsthand the thrills of the sights and sounds of the home of the greatest variety of animal species in the world.  We can arrange for you to experience all of this, while not disturbing the delicate natural balance that took thousands of years to develop.

Brazil Amazon Eco Tour

Along the shores of the river ways, you will see the native Brazilian Indians whose lives depend on the Amazon River.  The river provides everything these simple people need to sustain a lifestyle of family and community.  The white colonization threatened the very existence of these marvelous people and their cultures, but in 1988, the Brazilian government passed laws guaranteeing the Indians right to life in the Amazon.  The country is so vast and densely covered in vegetation that there are still tribes who have never seen a white man.  As an added bonus for those who want to experience the local culture, a visit to a local village of Cablocos (mixed Indian and European people), or Ribeirinhos (river dwellers), can be arranged.  You can see how these friendly and happy people live off the bounties of the rainforest and the river with little regard for the ticking of a clock.  Time just doesn't mean the same to them as it does to most Americans.  You may even get to see how they grow and harvest the manioc root then process it to make "farinha", a staple of most Brazilians even in the cities, and tapioca.  Whatever experiences await you in the small villages along the river, you can be sure that you will come away with a different outlook on life.

The Amazon rainforest is home to an almost endless variety of plant and animal life, much of it unique to the Amazon region.  You will have the opportunity to view and photograph in their natural surroundings such fauna and flora as Pink Dolphins, Tapirs, Giant Otters, several kinds of Monkeys, Capybaras, Crocodiles, Macaws (most commonly scarlet and blue & gold varieties), Amazon Festive Parrots, Egrets, huge Muscovy Ducks, Hawks, Ospreys, King Vultures, Swallows, Kites, Orioles, Woodpeckers, Herons, Iguanas, huge Mahogany and Brazil nut trees, graceful Coconut and Acaí Palms, Banana trees, iridescent Blue Morpho Butterflies, giant Praying Mantis, huge Grasshoppers, and an endless variety of other interesting insects....but NO MOSQUITOES.  In the black tannic waters where we fish, mosquitoes cannot breed and it is unlikely you will even see one, much less be bitten by one.  If you are lucky, you may even sight a Jaguar, Harpy Eagle, Anaconda or Manatee.

Besides enjoying the sights of such exotic creatures, each day you will be greeted with the songs of many birds as you cruise the calm black waters of a remote lagoon, river or creek.  Chattering monkeys, squawking Macaws, Toucans and often the eerie roar of a Howler monkey will etch memories in your mind for ever.Amazon Brazil Jaguar

To walk through the rainforest or to lie quietly in a cabin aboard the Amazon Voyager in the evening affords one the opportunity to experience a cacophony of sounds such as no other place on earth.  The Amazon Region possesses a unique world class product by virtue of the beauty of its nearly untouched rain forest, its magnificent rivers, and the Voyager's exotic yet safe itineraries that satisfy anyone's standards!

The Amazon jungle is the greatest tropical forest of the planet, and the Amazon Voyager is the most modern vessel serving the ecotourism industry in Brazil. Your comfort is paramount.

Enjoy a spacious dining room and after dinner salon as well as multi-level deck seating to drink in the river view.  Our award-winning chef will prepare a mixture of local delicacies and continental cuisine. All meals will be accompanied by tropical fruits, fresh baked breads, and pastries.

After dinner enjoy an open bar (national drinks and beer) and video and games room with satellite television.

"While fishing in Brazil on the Amazon Voyager, I have experienced so many new adventures.  From mingling with the wonderful, friendly natives of the jungle to paddling up an unknown tributary in a Kayak, soaking in the equatorial sun and listening to bird song and sounds of the river system.  There's just nothing on earth quite like it.  My only regret is that it took me 50 years to experience this wonderful creation.  My good friends, please don't wait a minute longer to undergo this Trip of a Lifetime.  Do it now, while the whole system is still pristine and enjoy it in the very best possible way to see it all, on the Amazon Voyager!"

Sincerely,
