There is no doubt "Wild Bill"
Skinner is a fisherman first. He boated with me the 3rd day
of our May El Salto trip and he really showed his skills with
a "stick".
Our guide re-visited a spot where I had caught
5 fish, in my first 7 cast, that weighed 43 pounds the day before.
At daylight Bill proceeds to pulled in two 13 pounders, a 13.8
and 13.3, which I weighed, in consecutive cast, from the exact
same spot. He trounced me pretty hard with his custom made spinner
baits landing multiple 8's, 9's, and 10's at will. Even our
guide caught a 12.8 in one spot that I had just worked over.
Later in the day I caught up a little when
I pulled out a 1 oz. Rattle Trap and proceeded to land 5 fish,
in 10 cast, that scaled 52 pounds and lost 2 others over 10
. Bills hands were shaking because he knew I only had one "Trap".
I thoroughly enjoyed having Bill in my boat.
He is as easy to book with as he is to fish with. Our group
is rebooking with Bill same time, same place next year.
