Dear Wild Bill,
I just got back from Lake El Salto. We fished from March 13
to 15 and even though we didn't catch a large amount of fish
(20 - 25 per day) I caught a 5.2, 5.9,6, and a 10 pounder. Another
guy that was with us caught a 8.2 and we had another at 5 pounds
with the rest being 2 - 3 pounders.
We are from Oregon and 4 and 5 pound fish are considered Trophy
fish here. These fish were all hogs and even the little ones
fought like they thought they were hogs! It would have been
nice to have caught more fish, but isn't that always the case!
I am including the picture of the 10 pounder caught by me and
the 8.2 pounder caught by Dan Raynor of Albany, Oregon
