I can say is thank you Wild Bill.
On a trip to El Salto, in March 2003, I caught this nice 7 pounder
in a huge stand of trees in the water, using a large white spinnerbait.
The fish inhaled the bait as soon as it hit the water.
Our guide was unbelievable at putting us "on
the fish" each day. My wife and I were able to catch 35
or 40 fish a day. Nothing caught was under 2 pounds.
These fish at El Salto sure eat their Wheaties. Even the small
ones fight like lunkers.
The hospitality and the meals at the Chapman
Balderama Lodge was terrific.
Billy, the owner of the lodge, made you feel right at home.
We are definitely coming back next year to
experience this great fishing again.
