Lake
Huites, Mexico has been called by some, "The next Baccarac"!
Now that's a tough act to follow, but in my opinion, Huites could
very well become the best trophy lake in the world in a few short
years! The Lake already has huge Bass and a great new lodge
to enjoy and relax in. Trophy Bass Lodge is owned
and operated by American Bass Fishermen, making this wonderful new
Lodge almost unique in all of Mexico! We think this fresh
new approach has produced a lodge where fishermen and their friends
and family feel right at home.

At Trophy
Bass Lodge, the fisherman create their own agenda. For
example, if a fisherman doesn't want to come in at lunch and enjoy
a fine, hot meal, but would rather have the chef fix some great sandwiches
to take along in their onboard cooler, then that's what they get to
do! This Lodge at Huites even accommodates anglers who enjoy
seasonal night fishing and supplies black lights and spotlights
(seasonal) for each boat! It's innovations like these that make
Trophy Bass Lodge my choice in all of Mexico!
Now if you like that kind of service and freedom, then Trophy
Bass Lodge is your lodge and Huites is your Lake.
It has truly been my pleasure to work on this innovative, fresh new
approach for a fishing lodge that even the most discriminating
Bass Fisherman will Love! The appointments show insight
and concern for the American Bass Fisherman and for giving us
all a little bit of home in Mexico, while you enjoy the freedom
to be yourselves! Our Bass Fishing Friends will also come
to realize that the great service and food at Trophy Bass Lodge
is a touch of class in a relaxed atmosphere.
Lake Huites is accessible from either Los Mochis, via a paved
highway for two hours and an exciting forty-five minute drive
on a unpaved road that winds its way through the foot hills of the
Sierra Madre Mountains. (See the Getting
ThereAll the prices and information about flights and connections
for your trip to Lake Huites page to find out why!)
Another option is being driven from El Fuerte. You will be met
at the airport in Los Mochis or El Fuerte, by Trophy Bass
Lodge staff, for your departure to the lodge at Lake Huites.
Once you arrive at the lodge, the Trophy Bass staff
will greet you with a Margarita, cold beer or your favorite soft
drink, then help you get your gear stored in your spacious air-conditioned
room. While you get unpacked and settled in, the friendly
staff will be serving some "real" Mexican appetizers and your
favorite beverage. In the meantime, the chef, whom I
believe is among the very best at any lodge, will be preparing
a great dinner for everyone!
The Lodge is set on a flat at the water's edge, with a fantastic
view. Bring your Dad... at this lodge there is no hill to
climb from the water's edge - even elderly friends will find it a
breeze. It has been custom designed with your comfort in mind.

How good
does it get? After a comfortable nights sleep, you will be greeted
by the smell of hot, Fresh Coffee will remind you how
good it really is. Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice, Sizzling
Bacon and Fresh Farm Eggs or Pancakes are enjoyed as a hint
of Sun turns the sky into indigo blue.
After breakfast,
a short walk or ride will take you to your boat and guide. Now
it's time to get with the program of catching bass and enjoying
the unparalleled scenery this beautiful Lake offers each
angler! After a great morning of fishing and exploring
the Lake you will be taken to the lodge for a hot lunch or
continue fishing and enjoy sandwiches prepared for you that
morning.
For those
of you who opt to return to the lodge for a terrific lunch,
expect fresh cooked meals consisting of wonderful home made
Soups, Fried Chicken, Enchiladas or the Catch of the Day, fried
fish, complete with condiments. Enjoy your lunch with Margaritas,
Beer, Juices, Soft Drinks or my favorite, Fresh Iced Tea.
After lunch you can take a short siesta if you like or simply
go out after 'em, again, You're the boss at Trophy
Bass Lodge!
Returning
at sundown, the Lodge is a welcome site after enjoying the tropical
weather and fighting big bass all afternoon. You
will be greeted by the lodge staff with tasty Margaritas
or beer and some great conversation with your fellow
fishermen. After a nice warm shower in your large private
bathroom and some appetizers, it's time for some delicious
food!
Enjoy a
fantastic dinner overlooking the Lake. The bar
is always open at this fine restaurant - Beer, Margaritas,
soft drinks, juices and bottled spring water are included in
the package. If you desire other beverages (e.g. bourbon,
scotch, etc.) please bring your own.
The menu
will feature impressive entrees consisting of Authentic Mexican
Plates, Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp and Grilled Angus Beef imported
from Hermisillo and all the fixin's!
As our Bassmex
clients have experienced in the past, meals are delicious
and memorable and the weather is always pleasant.
Pleasant enough that after your meal in the evening, perhaps
you'll re-arrange your fishing tackle and share that day's fishing
highlights with the other guests, while enjoying the star studded
skies on the big spacious patio overlooking the Lake.
Your room
beckons after a hard day of Trophy Bass Fishing. You
will be surprised just how nice and comfortable these
rooms are. We have suites
that can accommodate 2,3,or 4 depending on the group
size Trophy Bass Lodge offers spacious
bedrooms, each of which has a private shower and toilet
facility with fine American fixtures. Each suite has
two beds, electricity, air-conditioning, bottled spring water,
large vanity area, hot showers, soap, shampoo, and nice soft
towels. You also have maid service twice daily
and a laundry service for your convenience.
The grounds are landscaped with hundreds of flowers, trees
and shrubs. It is without a doubt, the finest facility
of its kind in Mexico. Keep in mind that this new
lodge is being added to and improved even more this season.

"If
you want to experience a great place to fish
and get your wall hanger, then you might as
well be comfortable while you're at it.
This lodge and this lake is one of my favorite places
to fish any time of year. Try fishing in October,
November, December, April, May and June! Lake
Huites is without a doubt on its way to becoming
a rising star in Mexico and is a great lake
for Big Aggressive Bass and Numbers!
You've just got to fish this Little Gem!"
