His choices for great fishing are based on experience and Lake Huites
is one of his choices for great Bass N Mexico.
This "Gem of the South" is located just north-west of the town of
Choix, Mexico, in the beautiful State of Sinaloa. Lake Huites
has a maximum depth of 210 feet and was created by damming the Rio
Chinipa and Fuerte rivers. This Lake is 4500 feet above sea
level and at full pool in the Fall, this 30,000 acre lake is 18-miles
long in one direction and 15 miles long in another. This 6-year-old
mountain lake is shaped like a 1960's peace sign. After the
dam was finished, subsequent stockings with pure Florida Strain
Largemouth Bass have created a Bassin' Factory that has surpassed
the expectations of any new Bass lake in the world at this time.
This beautiful Lake has over 100 miles of shoreline to fish and has
every conceivable structure a bass could want. Once called the
"Mystery Lake", this beautiful body of water is literally Loaded
with Bass... GIANT BASS!
Lake Huites is a catch and release impoundment and that practice
has paid off with lots of Bass in the 4-8 pound class being taken
on a regular basis, and hundreds of bass over 10 pounds have
been caught and released at this great new lake! The current
lake record, caught in the spring of 2001, stands at a whopping
15 pounds 3 ounces! The Florida Strain Bass in Lake Huites
are growing at a rate of 2 pounds per year, so it's no wonder
so many fishermen are looking for their largest Bass to be caught
at this beautiful new reservoir.
Trophy Bass Lodge anglers enjoy fishing from American
made Boats. Each boat is outfitted with 55 HP Outboards
with seasoned expert guides that know Lake Huites like the back of
their hand. I assure you that they will do everything in their
power to put you on the fish.
This lake has the potential to produce the next world record
some day, just like all of her sister lakes in Mexico, but one good
thing Lake Huites has in its favor is that not many boaters drive
down from the States or Mexico to fish her waters. "Staying

Handicapped fishermen or visitors welcome. The access to both
boats and lodge is flat and easy. We will do our best to make
you comfortable.
You will fly commercial airlines to either Phoenix or Tucson, and
then a Mexican Airline to Los Mochis, Sinaloa. You can also
fly a private plane to El Fuerte, Sinaloa. Upon arrival, a Representative
from Trophy Bass Lodge will meet you at the gate and you
will be shuttled to the Camp. Coming from North America, you
will find it an exciting drive. Along the way you will pass
through historic Mining Villages, alongside ancient cactus property
boundaries, palm tree oases and ranches that have been worked for

Make sure you bring your Passport along, and you will be issued a Visa by Mexican Customs at the
Port of Entry.
Adult Americans travelling with a minor (17 or
under) are required to present a notarized letter from the absent
parent/s that they have permission to take the young one out

5500-foot-long paved airstrip available at EL FUERTE, Mexico
